The focus this past two weeks has of course been expanding the level design, specifically the street portion outside the Niagara Apartments. As you can imagine, laying out the basic architecture takes a while, especially if you are trying to combine many different architectural styles into one. I also had time to make another poster for one of the fictional companies in the modification.
Expect Alpha 0.7 to be very rough - I will be trying to make the currently in progress "Niagara Streets" playable for the release on Sunday. More news on the recent progress of the exterior map will be posted tomorrow in the newsletter. I am trying my best to make sure I work on the outline first before trying to add small details (a method of mapping that I am not particularly used to).
My work continues on the level design, and throughout this past two weeks, that's what I have been focusing on during my free-time. My first objective is to finish mapping out the basic geometry of the second map (the streets outside the Niagara Apartments). In the upcoming release, I hope to have a basic prototype of the map for you to test.
