Not a very productive week unfortunately, but I have been working on the introduction sequence that was partly shown in the editor view last week. Late this weekend, I have been doing some work on animated textures (for "television" screens). In addition, I found out that the Steam overlay appears to not be working with Above the Catacombs and quite possibly with other Source modifications as well. I posted about it on Interlopers as I did with the previous issue I discovered concerning launch options. Since it does seem to be directly related to the Steam client, I have reached out to Valve for a potential patch, although I do not have high hopes I'll receive a helpful response.
Didn't get as much done this week as I would have liked, but I still made progress nevertheless. I managed to produce a new custom track this week and have been working on a new introduction sequence (short) for the Introduction chapter. In addition, Valve broke launch options for Source modifications in one of their latest updates, which I and others complained about on Interlopers. Although this is not a big deal, it is just another thing that the community will have to fix themselves that they didn't break. For now, you'll just have to press "ESCAPE" when the Valve introduction video plays after launching any mod and it should skip right to the menu screen (as the "-novid" launch option does not work along with all others).
This week I have been doing a combination of work. I have started laying out the basic texture work on the newer exterior geometry, created a new remix track and did some minor wiki editing. Although the map definitely needs more work on the small details, I think it is more than ready to move on to other visual details, such as lighting and piping.
