I apologize for the late post, the last few days of this week have been particularly rough. I hope to have at least a prototype of the new HUD completed for the new version release (most definitely Alpha 0.6) tomorrow. However, I would not expect the HUD to be fully completed by then, but I would definitely be working on getting it out of the way next week to focus on expanding the level design.
For the past two weeks, I have been working on the Above the Catacombs Original Soundtrack and the HUD. Subsequently, I have been doing an awful lot of experimentation with the soundtrack and have managed to complete six new custom tracks. While modifying the default HUD, I originally planned on making it non-dependable on the HEV suit for activation, but due to the many complications in the source code, I have ultimately decided to use the HEV suit anyway and just omit any unneeded functions. I am confident that I will have the modified HUD in working condition by the time of this month's version release (you will get an update in the August Mod Bulletin anyway before the release date next Sunday).
Since the release of Alpha 0.5 last week on Monday, I have fixed the extremely slow crouch speed (also known as the "ducking speed") that some of you may have experienced during Alpha 0.5 playtesting. This fix in particular will not be available until the next mod release version this month.
